Return packaging and empties?

Read below the procedures on how to return packaging such as empty jerry cans, barrels, and IBC containers. Are you not yet familiar with our new return procedures? We have recently switched to a new carrier, which has slightly changed the process of offering empties. On this page, you will find everything you need to know about returning items.

Note: if applicable, you must print the ADR hazard symbols yourself and affix them to the pallet you are offering. This applies to all hazards that are current for your return shipment. You can find these below, available individually to download and print in A4 format.

Below you will find the most common ADR symbols. By clicking on a symbol, you can download a ready-to-print ADR symbol on A4 format. Do this for each type of symbol that appears on the packages you are offering for return. Without these symbols, the carrier will not take your packaging back.

Questions & answers about your return processing

Returning packaging to Brilliant Group is only possible using our “Packaging Return Form.” You must complete the form in full. The yellow fields requesting company information must be filled out completely.

In the search field, you can easily search for the packaging of the product you wish to return. Do this by product type and packaging type. Also specify the quantities. If you are returning items on pallets, you must also indicate the number of pallets.

Once you have completed the entire form, you can save it and then send it via email to: bestelling@hygienepartner.nl. Your form will then be reviewed. If we have any questions or if anything is unclear, we will contact you. We cannot process forms that are not fully completed.

In addition, every online store account includes a standard “Packaging Return Form.”

By submitting a fully completed request form and providing packaging that meets the specified requirements, you can return your packaging safely and responsibly. Packaging that is not provided correctly will not be accepted for return.

Yes, this procedure is mandatory for every return shipment. Without this information, we cannot process your request. The carrier requires this information to be provided in full and in advance; the “Return Packaging Form” is used for this purpose. This ensures that every return shipment can be processed safely and efficiently.

Please note: by submitting a fully completed return form, you are requesting a return shipment. In addition, you are also required to prepare the packaging correctly and safely for transport. If applicable, this must be done in accordance with current ADR regulations. At the bottom of this page, you can read exactly how to comply with these requirements. Again, packaging that is not prepared correctly will not be accepted for return by the carrier.

First, you must email the fully completed return form to bestelling@hygienepartner.nl. We will then process the return request and notify the carrier. If we have any questions or if anything is unclear, we will contact you first.

In addition, you are required to safely return the empty packaging in accordance with applicable laws and regulations for the transport of hazardous materials. This information is included with the downloadable packaging return form. These rules apply to every return shipment; if these rules are not followed, the carrier will not accept the packaging for return.

Yes, that is possible. We do not accept returned packaging unless we have received a fully completed return request form in advance. You can download the form here. Additionally, if the returned packaging is not presented correctly in accordance with the specified rules and regulations, the carrier will be required to refuse it. Each form you download includes a brief overview of important points to ensure the packaging is presented safely and correctly.

Legislation and regulations for the transport of hazardous materials

The ADR legislation imposes the following conditions for the collection and transport of hazardous substances and their empty packaging. These measures are taken to minimize risks as much as possible.

Packages must be empty, must not leak, must be free of residual product on the outside, must not be damaged, and must be closed with the original caps.
Labels: original labels/sleeves must not be removed or covered and must be legible.
No other products may be poured into the jerry cans or drums than the original product.
Jerry cans and drums must be stacked stably on a pallet and wrapped with film.
Jerry cans and drums must be stacked in such a way that the directional arrows are respected.
Hazard labels must be affixed to at least two sides of the pallet and must not be smaller than 10x10 cm.
The UN overpack label must be affixed to at least two sides of the pallet. The relevant UN codes must be visible on it.
Pallets may only be wrapped with transparent film.
