Steam Cleaners
Steam cleaners and the advantages of cleaning with dry steam offer innovative and sustainable solutions for traditional cleaning challenges. Steam cleaning ensures optimal hygiene and is one of the most natural cleaning solutions, offering a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to the use of chemicals.
Why clean with dry steam?
Steam is an incredibly powerful cleaning agent that only uses water. Conventional steam is moist and contains water particles (more than 5% water particles), also known as wet steam. When wet steam is superheated, the water particles vaporize, creating dry steam (less than 5% water particles). Due to the low water volume (1 liter of water = 1680 liters of steam), using dry steam immediately reduces wastewater discharge, and by only using water, the environmental impact is significantly reduced.
Hard-to-reach areas and water-sensitive components are a major source of contamination. The low moisture content makes dry steam ideal for cleaning water-sensitive processes (such as electrical components) and difficult-to-reach places. Because of the low moisture content, dry steam is also applicable in the dry food industry where cleaning with water is prohibited.
Optimizing production times
We focus on cleaning agents and systems, the latest technologies, and application methods to remove surface contaminants as efficiently, safely, and quickly as possible, ensuring production times can be optimized and the quality and food safety of your products can be guaranteed.
Our hygiene programs are tailored and customized to specific facility needs; the surfaces and areas to be cleaned, the most suitable cleaning and disinfection agents and cleaning techniques, the available workforce, and opportunities for shorter cleaning times that maximize production.
Validated steam cleaning concept
The performance of dry steam is validated by the Campden BRI Food Research Association. After cleaning with dry steam, a log 3-4 reduction in contamination can be observed (tested with ATP/protein tests). E-coli, listeria, and salmonella infections on surfaces are reduced by up to 99.99%. Furthermore, residues of allergens (peanut, gluten, soy, etc.) are reduced to less than 5 ppm. The dry steam technology used in Osprey Deepclean’s dry steam cleaners is independently validated by UCLH and TNO for achieving a log 4-6 reduction for pathogens including MRSA, C Difficile, and ACCB.
