The triangular rings are formed from acetylene (a high-impact plastic). The double locking system guarantees that tension is maintained at all times; the primary system is equipped with a backup should it be necessary. The safety adjustment screw prevents accidental pressure loss during tactical patient movements.

No Velcro is used to maintain tension. This reduces the risk of the tourniquet coming loose when moving the patient. The closure performs equally well in dirty, muddy, or sandy environments. Both the safety screw and the closure are coated with a corrosion-resistant lubricant.
