Product description
RIDASCREEN FAST Lupine is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of lupine proteins in food products (e.g. juices, wine, beer, sausage, noodles, chocolate, bakery products, or ice cream). The test detects all proteins of European lupine species used in food, including the heat-stable conglutin γ-gamma.
In France, it is permitted to mix up to 10% lupin flour with other types of flour without further declaration. Because lupins can cause severe allergic reactions, they must be declared on food products. The allergen may be present as an ingredient or as a contaminant in raw and cooked products. According to Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, lupin must be listed on food labels.
