Product description
Quantofix Peroxide, highly reliable test strips for the rapid determination of the presence of hydrogen peroxide. An effective and cost-saving method for residue control of disinfected production equipment. Measuring range of 0-1000 mg/l. After using the test strip, the resulting discoloration is compared to the color scale.
1. Immerse the test strip in the test solution for 1 second
2. Shake off the excess liquid from the strip
3. Allow the solvent to dry completely
4. Then moisten the test area with a drop of water
5. Wait 15 seconds
6. Compare the color in the test field with the color scale on the tube.
If hydrogen peroxide is present, the test field turns blue.
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is one of the most powerful oxidizing agents. Its disinfecting capabilities are higher than those of chlorine (Cl2) or chlorine dioxide (ClO2). This test method is extremely suitable for measuring low levels of peroxide.
Hydrogen peroxide is widely used in the food and dairy industries. After cleaning, production equipment and materials are tested for residual peroxide-containing substances.
If the test pad remains white, no peroxide is present and production can be continued.
The final product is also regularly tested for peroxide because many packages are disinfected with peroxide before filling. This guarantees optimal product quality and ensures the final product is peroxide-free.
- Very reliable and simple procedure.
- Measures the presence of hydrogen peroxide.
- Also suitable for the detection of peroxide in organic solvents.
- Complies with HACCP regulations.
- Detection range: 50–1000 mg/l
- Grading: 0-50-150-300-500-800-1000 mg/l
- Sensitivity limit for peracetic acid: 50 mg/l.
