NEOGEN Reveal Allergen Rapid Test Nuts Combination

Allergen rapid test detects six nuts (almond, hazelnut, pecan, walnut, cashew, and pistachio) in a single analysis. Suitable for testing residues in CIP rinse water, environmental samples, food ingredients, and processed foods. Ideal for simple and quick use directly on-site and provides results in just 10 minutes.

The presence of the allergen is made visible by means of specific antibodies. Reveal for Nuts combi is a unique screening instrument with a 2-line readout: two control lines confirm a positive result, while a single line means a negative result.

This test is suitable for detecting 6 different types of nuts (almond, hazelnut, pecan, walnut, cashew, and pistachio). Macadamia nuts and Brazil nuts are not detected by this test. The test is intended for lower concentrations (20%) of a nut type, as the test does not contain an overload indicator (third line).

Known cross-reactions are: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame, coconut, flaxseed, chestnut, and buckwheat. The pits of peaches, apricots, nectarines, cherries, plums, and Prunus mahaleb also produce cross-reactions.

Analysis on acidic or saline products with a low pH value and products containing many thickeners may yield an invalid result.

The procedure
1. Add the extraction buffer to the sample tube.
2. Add 0.25 ml of sample (CIP rinse water or cotton swab) to the sample tube.
3. Apply the cap and shake for one minute.
4. Remove the cap and fill it with liquid from the tube.
5. Immerse the Reveal instrument in the liquid in the cap.
6. Leave the instrument in it until liquid flows into the test window.
7. Place the device on a flat surface and allow the test to develop for 5 minutes.
