The presence of Egg is made visible by means of specific antibodies. Reveal 3-D for Egg is a unique screening instrument with a 3-line readout: a control line confirms that the method has been performed successfully, and two other lines distinguish non-detectable, low, and high levels of Egg presence.

For a number of products with specific properties (acidity, high tannin content) or with high absorbent properties (flour, meal), it is advisable to dilute the product or use less product. High heating or frying can affect the detection limit of the test.

This test detects the proteins found in the egg yolk and the egg white of chicken eggs. Analysis of acidic or salty products with a low pH value and products containing many thickeners may yield an invalid result.

The procedure
1. Add the extraction buffer to the sample tube.
2. Add 0.25 ml of sample (CIP rinse water or cotton swab) to the sample tube.
3. Apply the cap and shake for one minute.
4. Remove the cap and fill it with liquid from the tube.
5. Immerse the Reveal 3-D instrument in the liquid in the cap.
6. Leave the instrument in it until liquid flows into the test window.
7. Place the device on a flat surface and allow the test to develop for 5 minutes.
